Eighth in a series of miniature books, featuring a selection of poems referencing color, by Emily Dickinson.

It has been suggested that this poem written in 1862 refers not only to the Autumn of the year, with leaves and blossoms entering into a swirling, eddying red river, but to the bloodied battlefields and fallen soldiers during the Civil War. Division is brewing now again, painfully, in our own time with Charlottesville in 2017 and the infamous insurrection on the US Capitol on Jan., 6, 2021.

Accordion structure, hand painted boards, gold stamping, leather accents. Letterpress and hand painting on Cave papers and hand sewn insert. Verso, Moriki papers printed with antique wood type- the names and dates of Civil War battles and Charlottesville 2017.
